Step 9: Develop Strategies to Take Action
Strategies or goals are broad actions moving toward the vision, purpose, and outcomes that have been identified. They provide a general direction that will take time to accomplish. Strategies start from where the collective is and moves them toward the outcomes wanted for the future.
Strategies recognize and address the challenges that prevent the achievement of the target outcomes. Once a challenge has been identified and an initiative undertaken by engaging others, generating a vision, establishing values, and developing outcomes and measures; the identified strategies can be implemented by developing action steps, roles, costs, and timelines.

Individual and organizational future-readiness is supported increasing capacity for (1) community and stakeholder-led development, (2) systems-practices, (3) strategic foresight, and (4) digital optimization. We've learned these four components are necessary for the project and systems collaboration and informed decision-making we have experienced as being essential for transformative change and innovation.
